High Focused Painting

Monday 9:30 - 12:00 pm (2 ½ hrs.) January 6 - March 9
Acrylic painting: Fast, fluid, fixable and forgiving. Oil painting mediums that dry paints quickly. From beginners to advanced students, this class will explore methods used to produce images of dazzling beauty. Acrylics now compete with oils in terms of the range of colors and transparent glazing colors. Similar techniques apply to both oils and acrylics. This course will teach a specific foolproof method and easy to master techniques. Learn to understand your paints and what they can do. Use of color charts, brushes and other material will be discussed with class demonstrations. Free prints for a 16X20 art panel will be provided. These prints are based on scans from still-life paintings, botanical, landscapes, and variety of subject matter. Students are also free to provide their own photographs for reference.
10 week 2 1/2 hour course $365 plus materials
Materials not included, please inquire prior to class of material list needed. Colorest students receive a 20% discount on materials where applicable,
