Instructor: Dannielle Mick
Sunday January 30, 10:00 – 3:00 Fee: $125.00
This workshop is for the artist who has some experience but would like to loosen up. Impressionism is a style or movement in painting originating in France in the 1860s, characterized by a concern with depicting the visual impression of the moment, especially in terms of the shifting effect of light and color. It is an artistic style that seeks to capture a feeling or mood. In keeping with this definition, we will work from photographs and you will lay out shapes in various values and colors, with minimum detail. Pastel is a versatile medium. We will be learning to layer colors as we mix our own. Discussion of different techniques, demonstrations along with group critiques will make for a fun day.
Students must bring their own supplies and an apron. Pack a bag lunch or snack.
